Description

The Institute for Textual Scholarship and Electronic Editing (ITSEE) is situated within the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion in the University of Birmingham. It is home to a number of text editing projects, with a particular focus on biblical and medieval literature.

ITSEE staff are also involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the MA in Electronic Scholarly Editing (dedicated to practice and theory in making editions today, including the study of Greek and Latin palaeography).

Current projects include the Virtual Manuscript Room, the development of a collaborative workspace for identifying and creating digital resources related to manuscripts.
